Why won't my FTP
session connect?
Ensure you are online and able to connect to webpages. Confirm
settings and close and open your
program. Ensure your FTP is set to standard file transfer
protocol. Turn on passive ftp in you are on a LAN. Try the
IP address for host rather than ftp.domain.com, in case of
DNS issues between us and you. Restart your machine. If there
is still a problem please take note of the error message.

known Dreamweaver FTP issues?
Set the Remote Info to Use Passive FTP. Use IP address instead
of ftp.domain.com to address temporary DNS outages between
major providers.

Restart your machine
Ensure your domain hasn't expired by going to netsol.com's
whois lookup or to cira's
website for .ca's. In addition, for new domain names it may
take as long as a week for the DNS to propagate.
View your website from a remote location through a web accessibility
tool
to see if the problem is just on your network or with your
browser.
Clear your browser cache - For Internet Explorer select Tools,
Options, then on the general tab click "Delete Cookies,"
"Delete Files," and "Clear History" and OK, then
click refresh.
Make sure that your are able to go to a range of websites,
take note if any other sites aren't viewable as there may
be a dns or routing between providers. If other people, preferably
from a different location can reach the website with the domain
name and you still can't, contact your bandwith provider.
Their DNS records may need to be updated.
If there is still a problem please take note of any error
messages.
